Students Wanted!

Hello everybody.   It’s summer again, and I’m in the middle of a busy season of teaching at camps up and down the East Coast.  I’ll be on the road for a few more weeks, then I’ll be back to my regular teaching schedule as the summer draws to a close.  I do have openings available if you are interested in instruction.   I  offer private lessons in Seekonk (near Providence), in Jamaica Plain (Boston), and via Skype and FaceTime worldwide.

I teach a range of instruments and styles at all levels, including early blues on conventional and bottleneck-style guitar, flat-picked bluegrass and old time guitar, old time clawhammer and finger-style banjo, blues and old time mandolin, swing rhythm guitar, and Cajun fiddle.

I love to work with experienced players, beginners, and folks who are just picking up an instrument again after a long hiatus.  I specialize in helping musicians to improve their basic skills and work on their tone, touch and time.

I also teach at the Music Emporium in Lexington, MA on Thursdays.  In addition to lessons, you can check out guitars, banjos, ukuleles, and mandolins, new and old, from some of the greatest makers in the world.
